Why the area is important
extensive history
The Northeastern Athabasca Basin has an extensive history of uranium exploration, discovery, and development. This region is host to many significant uranium occurrences and includes one of the two currently operating uranium mines in Saskatchewan (Cameco’s Cigar Lake) along with a mill (Orano’s McClean Lake mill). This area of the basin is also host to more recent high grade uranium discoveries such as IsoEnergy Limited’s Hurricane deposit.

F4 Uranium Corp. has four projects in the NE Athabasca Basin totaling 22,581 ha. The properties owned by F4 Uranium Corp. overlie major structural trends that are known to host high grade, unconformity associated uranium mineralization.
